I have spent the past 2 months on the road, from craft show to craft show. From Fort McMurray to Newfoundland, it has been an incredible journey sharing the My HOME Apparel brand! One of the very best parts of participating in the craft shows is meeting all the wonderful vendors and learning about all their incredible products. I have bought most Christmas gifts at the shows and all our stockings will be stuffed with local gems.
Here are just a few of my favs!
East Coast Hangover Soap from Bad Mouth Soap.
With such clever ingredients and soap titles, how could you not love this soap?! I’ve got some filthy people in my life who are going to LOVE this soap! Check out Bad Mouth Soap’s full line here
Gabs & Eddy: They are based out of Halifax, NS and simply make the cutest crochet hats and head bands for adults and children. So stylish and all handmade!
You can interchange the flowers on many of their products (adorable) and their Gabs & Eddy button adds the perfect touch!
Fundy Treasures: Handmade Guitar Picks
These handmade guitar picks are made from agate from the Joggins area and truly are incredible. Brian, who makes these is so talented, and I think they make the perfect gift for the musician in your life. Each one is unique and the colours are amazing.
Check out their website or visit them in Joggins this summer for a guided fossil tour or to see their charming gift shop.
Newfoundland Chocolate Company simply makes the most delicious chocolate and I LOVE their adorable bars with the Newfoundland sayings.
I first discovered the chocolates in Newfoundland but am blessed to walk by their store at MicMac Mall every day and drool. How convenient that our kiosk is in the same mall?!
Artburn Painting Kits, creates the most incredible pillows for children to paint. The messages are empowering and encourage children to be creative! I truly love these and had the hardest time choosing which ones to buy- since I love them ALL!
Still Fired Distillery: The best vodka and moonshine around!! Being booth neighbours with Still Fired and their awesome Apple Pie Moonshine was no coincidence! YUM! They make incredible vodka and moonshine in Annapolis Royal that is to die for! The line ups around their booth prove just how good it is!
I think you will be seeing lots more of these guys and their awesome recipes!
These are just a few of my favourite craft show finds this season, but trust me, there are so many products and companies I love from all across Canada! The truth is, we are surrounded by amazing brands and companies, that it makes shopping local so easy!
Have any other great local gems we should learn about? We would LOVE to hear about them!
Thanks for shopping local,
